CARFAX Integration:
To integrate your CARFAX account with VIN Viper simply enter your CARFAX User ID and Password in the  Account Settings.  Every VIN that is scanned or entered will then be able to instantly receive the CARFAX report.

Scanning VIN Barcodes:
VIN Viper’s barcode scanner does not require tapping or shaking of the device – simply place the phone over any barcode so that it is in the rectangle.  Hold the phone still for 2 seconds (or less) and let the camera autofocus.  VIN Viper will vibrate when the barcode has been decoded and will display the VIN .

If you experience difficulties scanning a VIN barcode please make sure that you are a) Scanning a barcode and not the VIN letters and numbers and b) That the beginning and end of the barcode is visible in the camera’s view finder.
