With Locale and the Sync Plug-in, your phone can automatically toggle Auto-sync/Background Data to improve battery life. Battery low? Turn Auto-sync off. Plugged-in? Turn Auto-sync back on!
This uses undocumented Android APIs, so it comes with absolutely no support whatsoever.
This is a plug-in: it requires "Locale."
